EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR—Dover (NH) Housing Authority

Become the next Executive Director of the Dover (NH) Housing Authority (DHA) to forward its
Mission of “Opening Doors to Opportunities.” Lead this “Moving to Work” federal housing
authority and a team of 25 staff with an annual budget of $8.9M.
We are proud of our accomplishments - converting our family neighborhood to PBV under the
Rental Assistance Demonstration program in 2017, renovating 184 family apartments with
private financing; supportive housing programs for seniors, individuals with disabilities and
families including a 21st Century After school program and Family Self-Sufficiency program and
partnerships with our local hospital, the Dover Police Department, Dover School System, Habitat
for Humanity, the University of New Hampshire and HAVEN, housing for victims of sexual
assault and domestic violence.

Our portfolio includes ten (10) scattered sites in Dover including high rise buildings, a renovated
historic church complete with a steeple and sailing ship weathervane, LIHTC units, low rise
senior/disabled and various rental properties. The DHA is designated as a High Performer.
Who are we looking for? We seek a director with high ethical standards, strong personnel
experience, a strategic visionary, a listener and a learner, an individual willing to take risks,
someone adept at crisis management and able to manage 533 units, administer 347 vouchers
while providing safe, affordable housing for our low-income citizens.

Position Expectations:
1. Master’s degree or equivalent
2. Experience with government, nonprofit or corporate entities
3. Excellent communication and superior writing skills
4. Ability to meet time deadlines
5. Strong commitment to confidentiality
6. Knowledge of federal housing subsidy programs
7. Public Housing Management certification within one (1) year of start of employment

Salary range is $100,000-125,000 depending upon experience and qualifications.
DHA pays 100% for health insurance family plan.
